About Philosophy and Theology

The Department of Philosophy offers the Bachelors Programme and Masters Programme in Philosophy. Research programmes such as M.Phil and PhD in Philosophy are also offered by the Department of Philosophy under the auspices of the Centre for Research.

In an age of extreme competition, stress and early burnout, this training programme in philosophy helps one to overcome existential crises, to assume responsibility for one’s life and re-examine the experiential, creative and attitudinal values in order to achieve a more meaningful and productive state and style of living.

To promote rigorous and critical scholarship in Philosophy and Theology with native and contemporary perspectives for the development of the greater human understanding of the world and human selves.

To create transformative dialogue and understanding between different schools of knowledge, faith traditions, and cultures
