The Department runs a range of programmes including Certificate courses, Undergraduate programmes, Post Graduate programmes and Research degrees in psychology (Ph.D.). Our students demonstrate a high degree of self awareness, are service oriented and are encouraged to embrace humane values in their vocation.

The Department realizes its vision to promote high academic standards through a continuous and dynamic curriculum review process based on feedback from peers, professionals, potential employers and students. A variety of student-centred teaching and learning pedagogies are practised by the faculty members. These include seminars, experiential methodologies, laboratory training, conferences, workshops, field-based studies, film-based discussions and interactions with field experts.

The Department offers PhD Programmes with distinct interdisciplinary qualities in the field of International Relations, History and Political Science. The Department’s Masters Programme has today evolved to compose of all International Relations’ major area studies, theories, their applications, as well as global tongues like French and Mandarin. It has been moulded with the foremost agenda of making well-equipped professionals out of its student pool.

Our well known Undergraduate programmes are training students holistically and with a focus on career and contribution to the society. The students live up to the vision of the university with Excellence in their chosen field and service to the society. I decided to study in India because I admire its cultural richness and diversity and luckily, that is exactly what I found at CHRIST University. I thoroughly enjoy the multiculturalism and that every day, I get the chance to meet many people from various backgrounds. Faculty members, classmates, and the welcoming atmosphere at CHRIST university helped me overcome initial language and cultural barriers. Moreover, the high-quality teaching at CHRIST University is excellent and encourages students to think outside of the box. The variety of co-curricular activities provide opportunities to enhance the learning experience and interact with more students. Christ University has played a very important role in my life….My university experiences thus far have been amazing. I have learned and experienced so many new things in such a short period of time, and it has gone by so fast. I am still discovering all the opportunities that university offers me. Christ University is a very welcoming place, and from the first day, I felt at home here. I have made many new friends from many different backgrounds. Ruth Mapazu – Zimbabwe

Christ University was unfamiliar to me before I visited India. I joined the University to pursue my studies and once I came to India, there were language and cultural barriers which made it hard for me to communicate and understand people. But a few months into Christ, I was able to communicate better in the English language, thanks to the amicable students and friendly atmosphere. Christ university has made me disciplined and responsible, all because of the rules and regulations regarding attendance,  assignments and dress code. Through my years in Christ I have been able to develop my skills and knowledge and work towards my goal. I wish to thank my friends and extend my gratitude to the University for its constant efforts in moulding me into the person that I am today.

Nuttamol – Thailand

The whole reason I came to India was to get a different college experience. And I wouldn’t say I am disappointed at all. Amongst the other 3 universities in India that I got into, I chose Christ because of the exposure Christ gives to its students. That was the main catch for me. There’s something for everybody. If you are into photography, you have it, if you are into theatre, you got it, in every batch of any department, you could throw a bouquet and it would touch atleast 3 international students; and the group of international students in Christ.. it’s a close-knit community.

I can’t believe how far I have come throughout my education journey in Christ University, a place full of joy, blossom and great minds. Christ University equipped me with both knowledge and skills necessary to enter the corporate world through multiple fests and activities. From a personal view, end of semester projects have been most rewarding and contributing to my personal growth and development. 

As an international student I was offered with helping hands from faculty , staff members specifically from the office of International Affairs who they have been generous with their time being  dedicated to students.
