Introduction

Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS) at CHRIST (Deemed to be University),  Delhi NCR campus was inaugurated in January 2023. From its humble beginnings with just twenty-seven student recruits, CAPS has evolved into a dynamic family fuelled by dedication and enthusiasm with more than 200 students contributing to its growth. At its core, CAPS serves as a vital hub for academic and professional support, extending a warm invitation to students, faculty, researchers, and all needing assistance. Individually, CAPS empowers individuals to enhance competencies, guiding them through jiitopics ranging from research to career readiness. Beyond assistance, CAPS cultivates networking opportunities and insights into industry expectations through engaging university-wide sessions.

CAPS has established itself as a cornerstone of academic and professional support within the Delhi NCR campus. With initiatives like the enlightening Krish Dhanam Talk, the lively Carnifest, and insightful workshops, CAPS consistently enriches the academic landscape. CAPS remains steadfast in its commitment to equipping individuals with the skills to make a significant difference in society.

CAPS comprises five committees namely: Operations, Content Generation and Quality Check, Tech Tank, Media PR and Research  and four wings: Psychometric Assessment Wing, Connect Wide, Group Peer Training and One-on-One Peer Training Wing.

Operations

Operations Committee is the backbone of CAPS, with a committed team that ensures smooth functioning of all the committees and wings.Operations is also responsible for all the documentation work at CAPS.

CG & QC

Content Generation and Quality Check committee at CAPS plays a crucial role in crafting engaging and informative content for the organization. From composing blogs to scripting interviews, the team also curates content for monthly and annual newsletters.

Media PR

Media PR is the connective tissue that binds the Christites together by utilizing the power of social media platforms such as Instagram and YouTube. Through engaging and informative content, ranging from captivating glimpses of CAPS events to thought-provoking interviews and valuable insights, the team strives to cultivate a sense of unity and belonging among students.

Tech Tank

The Tech Tank committee serves as the technical backbone of CAPS, undertaking a multitude of responsibilities crucial to the smooth functioning of the organization. Not only do they provide essential technical support for all CAPS events, ensuring that everything runs seamlessly, but they also take charge of designing eye-catching posters that effectively promote these events. Tech Tank along with CGQC has started a novel approach of curating and publishing Monthly newsletters called CHRIST Delhi Connect which is circulated on the first day of each month to all the campuses providing them with a glimpse of all the upcoming events for the coming month. 

Research 

The Research Committee is committed to promoting innovation, cooperation, and academic engagement. Beyond individual projects, the Research committee plays a role in nurturing a dynamic culture of research essential to CAPS.

Psychometric Assessment Wing 

The Psychometric Assessment Wing aims at conducting assessment tests to help students gain insight into their abilities and personality traits. These assessments are evaluated and a comprehensive report is formulated for the students to enable constructive self-reflection.

Connect Wide Wing

Connect Wide Wing helps in planning and executing all the events at CAPS. From networking and finding illustrious resource persons for workshops and sessions to seamlessly coordinating an entire event the team is a dynamic place for action. 

Group Peer Training

The Group Peer Training wing at CAPS is committed to tailoring specialized and interactive learning experiences to meet the diverse needs of every individual on our campus. Each session offers a myriad of networking opportunities, stimulating conversations, and participatory activities. 

One-on-One Peer Training 

One-on-one Peer Training Wing,  offers personalized sessions to help individuals enhance their performance and facilitate the development of emerging abilities. Students receive insightful knowledge, improve their critical thinking skills, and increase confidence through training.
