What you will learn?

The close connection between social sciences and law hardly needs to be articulated. A legal professional needs to be consciously aware about the intricate and complex problems of the society. Our integrated Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law i.e., B.A. LL. B. programme, provides a deep insight into the historical perspective of the development of law, political factors influencing policies culminating into law and the intricate relationship between legislations and social problems. This programme aims at creating socially sensitive sentinels of justice.

The integrated B.A, LL. B. (Hons.) is a five year programme which consists of ten semesters involving subjects of Arts and Law, including Moot Courts, Legal Aid and Internship as integral parts of the teaching curriculum. In addition to the mandatory courses, School of Law also offers other value-added courses and programs for the benefit of its students.

Applications are available online.

Applications for each programme will close approximately a week before the scheduled selection process.

All applicants must visit the page: https://espro.christuniversity.in/Application/ and register by entering NAME (as printed on Class 10 Marks Card), EMAIL-ID and set a password (the email id and mobile number provided will be used for sending confirmation and application status-update messages). An applicant can apply for as many programmes using the same ID as long as the prescribed eligibility criteria for the specific programme is fulfilled.

International Category

Produce evidence of passing the qualifying examination in English medium or have IELTS 6.0 with no sub-score below 5.5 or TOEFL (paper) 550, TOEFL (computer) of 213 or TOEFL (IBT) of 79 scores

Intensive Certificate course in English Language (Full Time) conducted from March to May each year or One Semester Certificate course in English Language (Part Time) conducted after regular class hours from June to December.

Note: The International Student category fee structure is binding for the full duration of the programme and cannot be transferred /changed in between.

Candidates from the above listed categories having pursued Indian Educational qualification and who may have applied under the Indian States Category will have to pay the International Student Category Fee. The decision of the Admission committee is final.

Candidates seeking admission through International Student category (Foreign Nationals/PIO/OCI) will have a separate application process, with the following options to apply for any programme at Christ University.

NRI Category

Students are welcome to apply under the Non Resident Indian category for the programmes offered by the University.

Students who fall under any of the following classifications can apply under NRI Student category and be liable to pay the fees applicable to the category for the entire duration of the programme.

Admission to all programmes is based on academic achievement and CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Selection Process. Candidates should submit the final results of class 12 on or before August 30th of the admission year.

Applicants must read through the Selection process, Fee Structure and other details under the preferred programme given on our website before proceeding with the application process.

Admission Process

Selection process results will be available on https://app.christuniversity.in Selected candidates will receive an E-Offer of admission. The offer will be valid up to the date mentioned in the Offer of admission.

All selected candidates must note that admission is provisional and subject to University rules.

To process admission

All original marks cards and one set of photocopies must be submitted for verification at the time of admission as mentioned below,

All mandatory documents must be submitted for verification during the admission process.

An undertaking for pending original documents unavailable currently [applicable only for candidates writing/passing their exam in March – June – 2024], must be submitted to the Office of Admissions. These documents must be submitted on or before 20 August 2024.

Failure to submit the pending documents will be treated as unsuccessful in the qualifying examination or considered “Not Eligible” and admission will be terminated from CHRIST (Deemed to be University) without any claim.

All admitted students must open an account at South Indian Bank, CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Branch as part of the admission process and must carry relevant ID proof (Aadhar Card and Pan Card).

The University ID card is a smart card, which is both an ID cum ATM card with a chip containing the student personal details. All transactions within the University campus after commencement of classes, including fee payment will be processed only through this card. It is also an access card for Library and other restricted places.

Selected candidates who fall under International student category (ISC) should register with the Foreigner Regional Registration Officer (FRRO / FRO) of the Local Police in Bengaluru, India within 14 working days from the date of admission or arriving in Bengaluru.

The date of commencement of the academic Year 2024 will be intimated during the admission process.

Academic Mentoring

Students may face many challenges in adapting to the new environment and academic schedule, to understand the need of the curriculum, to develop healthy interpersonal relationships and also in personality development. At School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), NCR the scheme of academic mentoring has been adopted for addressing the various requirements of the students. Under this scheme, each student is assigned one faculty mentor who helps the student in all challenges faced by him/her in academics.

National Moot Court Competition

The School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR organised its 4th National Moot Court Competition in collaboration with Chambers of Kartik Seth and Povayya & Co., from 8 February to 10 February 2024. The event witnessed participation from 20+ Law Schools across the country. The flagship event was graced by an esteemed panel of judges and guests such as Retd. Justice Navaniti Prasad Singh, former Chief Justice High Court of Kerala, Retd. Justice R. Basant, former Judge of High Court of Delhi, Mr. Abhimanyu Chopra, partner at AZB & Partners, Mr. Ashish Chandra, partner at DSK Legal, Mr. Venancio D’costa, Partner at Luthra & Luthra, to name a few.

Judges Conversation Series

School of Law, every month on a second Saturday invites sitting Supreme Court and High Court Judges from across the Nation to address and interact with law students. These sessions serve as a bridge between theoretical legal education and practical legal experiences. The Judges Conversation Series provides students with insights into the workings of the judicial system, the challenges faced by judges, and the impact of their decisions on society. These interactions allow students to ask questions, seek guidance, and gain a deeper understanding of the nuances of the legal profession.
