University Student Council

The Student Council at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) is dedicated to enriching the graduate experience by addressing the needs and concerns of the student body. It creates new initiatives and programs aimed at fostering growth, interaction, and a stronger sense of community. Additionally, it serves as a bridge between students, the Administration, and Faculty, representing student interests and facilitating open communication.

The Student Council is led by the University Level Student Council (USC) which is the apex body, supported by the School-Level Student Council (SSC). The University Student Council consists of 40 students leaders supported by 150 School Level Council members who represent various Departments and Centres of the University.

To imbibe and inculcate the university’s vision, mission, and core values.

Objectives

1. To instill the University's vision, mission, and core values in students.
2. To provide constructive feedback on campus life, academic programs, discipline, and student services.
3. To enhance academic quality, research culture, and student participation in arts, culture, sports, and extracurricular activities.
4. To improve student conduct, life, and promote holistic development through student projects.
5. To assist the anti-ragging committee to eliminate ragging.
6. To strengthen student placement opportunities and facilitate internships.
7. To encourage the effective use and improvement of student services.
8. To support student initiatives like CSA, NCC, SWO, Sports teams, and Peer Education Programs.
9. To promote active engagement with University alumni.
10. To uphold the Christite spirit through various activities.
